Using CaffIQ

How do I log, edit, or delete a drink?

Log a drink from the main screen using quick-add or the built-in beverage database. Open your history to review your entries, where you can edit or remove any of them. For anything not in the database, you can enter a custom amount in milligrams.

How is my caffeine level calculated?

CaffIQ uses a pharmacokinetic model: it estimates the caffeine in your bloodstream over time from each dose and your personal profile — age, weight, sensitivity, and lifestyle factors you set in Settings. Keeping your profile up to date gives you the most accurate estimates and bedtime cutoff.

The estimate or sleep impact looks off — what should I check?

Double-check the time and amount of each entry, and make sure your weight and units are correct in Settings. If you recently switched metric/imperial, confirm the values converted as expected. If it still looks wrong, email us with a screenshot of the graph and the entries involved.

Subscriptions & purchases

Manage or cancel your subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open the Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions, then choose CaffIQ to change or cancel your plan. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Restore a purchase (Pro or Lifetime)

Changed device or reinstalled CaffIQ? Open the app’s paywall and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account you used originally. Still stuck? Email us with your approximate purchase date and product — never send your password.

Apple Health

Apple Health permissions aren’t working

Check iOS permissions: open the Health app → SharingAppsCaffIQ, and allow access. CaffIQ reads your sleep (and, if you allow it, age and weight) and writes your caffeine intake — all processed on your device.

Privacy & your data

Where is my data stored?

Your entries live on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private Apple iCloud account. We can’t access them. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Export or delete my data

You can clear your entries in the app, and deleting the app removes its local data from that device. For any other request, email contact@caffiq.app with the subject “data request” — we may ask you to confirm a few details to prevent unauthorized requests.
